ABOUT

Meet Dr. Sara Arouch

Dr Sara Arouch is a medical doctor and neuroscience PhD candidate specialising in the psycho-cognitive impacts of digital media on the human brain.

Her research focuses on how short-form video platforms affect cognitive brain functions such as executive mechanisms, attention, emotional regulation, and mental health, focusing on Gen Z, using neuroscience-informed, mixed-methods frameworks and reflecting on how AI-driven content and emerging technologies shape daily lives.

With formal training in medicine and public health — and a future clinical orientation toward psychiatry — she works at the intersection of brain science, user experience, and digital health innovation.

Multilingual and culturally fluent (English, French, Arabic, Russian), Dr Arouch brings a cross-cultural lens to understanding diverse populations and digital behaviours. She collaborates, advises, speaks, and creates evidence-based content for global audiences, media outlets, and technology brands seeking to design healthier digital environments.

Broadly, she is passionate about a future where precision psychiatry makes holistic mental healthcare scalable and accessible worldwide. She actively follows and documents emerging ideas on human–technology relationships — from AI to social robots — as part of her evolving research vision.
